HDF Claymation & Quicksand My Review

Quicksad gives very good volume to my hair and the texture is just out of this world... the hair feels "sandy" when using it. Claymation gives good sculpting power.

They are both great for that matte look and better than most wax out there. However one thing that really put me off from using Quicksand is the smell. It smells too "mineral-ish", for lack of better words it smells like rock if you have ever been to a quarry before but amplify 10 times. The smell is definitely a bit too powerful for me.

Shiner Gold Psycho hold My Review

For this pomade the texture and shine is good but holding power is just slightly better than average I think. Smell wise is OK too, it has a sweet coconut candy scent but it doesn't last long - a few hours out and about would reduce the smell a lot. But for the price I'd rather go for no. 3 down here

Arctic Pomade My Review

A Malaysian brand and made in Malaysia. Holding power just as good as Shiner Gold Psycho Hold but the main selling point is the price. At RM40~45 it is way cheaper than the RM70-ish that imported brands demand. Texture is good too, infact I think it spreads on the palm and hair better than Shiner.

As for smell, I like the fragrance quite a lot - it smells almost like perfume-ish. And the smell lasts much much longer infact it still lingers on very minutely even after washing off with shampoo. Some may not like this though and some may find the scent to be a bit too pwerful

Reuzer Strong Hold My Review

Probably the best of the bunch here. The holding power is just slightly better than Arctic, not much I would say around 10% better so it really depends if you are willing to pay more for than minor increase in holding power. It has a sweet but subtle vanilla like smell. Very good and not over powering.
